Eastern Shores School Board Sports Committee

Competition Categories

The Eastern Shores School Board makes use of several competition categories in the sports' competitions that are offered to the schools, and students, under the board's jurisdiction.  These categories are related to age or to the level of school that a student is in a certain year.

The following are the levels of competition that are used in Eastern Shores School Board events:

      Elementary - a student in this category is attending an elementary school

      Pee Wee - a student in this category is attending an elementary school

           (Often students in the above categories must not have attended an elementary school for a seventh 

             year which does not include PreK and Kindergarten)

      Junior - a student in this category is attending a secondary school in Secondary I or II.  See the 

                  constitution for age restriction in this category.

      Senior - a student in this category is attending a secondary school in Secondary III, IV, or V

      Bantam/Benjamin - if used, a student can compete in this category according to Sport Etudiant age      

                                     categories

      Midget/Cadet -  if used, a student can compete in this category according to Sport Etudiant age categories

      Juvenile - if used, a student can compete in this category according to Sport Etudiant age categories.
